Bicycle Song

for George Gunn

Haworth Hodgkinson

If the stone moves
it might be an elephant.

If the stone shines
it might be a star.

If the stone sings quietly in an endless plain
you can sing along if you know the tune.

But if the stone just sits, doing nothing in particular,
pedal hard — you'll soon be home.
